Anger Management

Feeling annoyed and frustrated…

That life doesn’t seem to be what you expected, and sometimes you just wish everyone would leave you alone.

This feeling of dissatisfaction has been around for a while, and you don’t know why because you have a pretty good career, family, and friends.

Sure, you have a few problems – life isn’t perfect.

So, what is wrong with blowing off a little steam and venting every once in a while?

Then the smallest of things begin…

…to trigger angry outbursts as you yell, slam doors, throw things, or just storm out of the room.

Your kids make a mess in the kitchen. Your wife doesn’t have dinner ready when you get home after a long day at work.

Negative feedback at work feels like a personal attack. .

Somebody cuts you off on the freeway, and the road rage kicks in.

Others begin to avoid you…

At home and at work.

It seems that people are “walking on eggshells” around you, not knowing when you may blow up.

Feeling isolated increases your baseline anger, making you more volatile.

Something must give

So, you begin to push the anger down, attempt to calm your mind by changing your thoughts, distract yourself by staying busy, and maybe taking out the frustration on a punching bag.

These things only work temporarily, and you may notice the anger increasing.

Now it’s time for you to decide…

To try something different since all these other things are not working very well.

Struggling with the anger is not the solution. Otherwise, you would be calmer by now because the fight has likely been intense.

Maybe the struggle is part of the problem?

Right now, I’m inviting you to…
